Our Team

• This position is for a Senior DevOps Engineer in the Platform Services team within the Vantage Core Platform Software organization.
• The team builds cloud platform services powering provisioning, deployment, operations, and lifecycle management of Teradata compute infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Key focus areas include:
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation
• CI/CD platforms and release automation
• Cloud infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management
• Observability, monitoring, and operational excellence
• Platform reliability, security, and compliance automation
• Multi-cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based services

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and cloud-native services.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, upgrades, scaling, and decommissioning workflows across public clouds.
• Build and maintain platform observability solutions including monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards.
• Improve platform reliability, security, and operational efficiency through automation and self-healing capabilities.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineering, networking, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable platform services.
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Drive best practices for DevOps, SRE, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and operational readiness for large-scale distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and distributed systems.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or Cloud-native equivalents.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and operational excellence mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience operating large-scale multi-cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Experience with platform engineering and internal developer platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes operators, service meshes, and GitOps workflows.
• Familiarity with compliance, security automation, and cloud governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting highly available production systems with SRE practices.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
