What you will do
As Senior Director of Product Strategy, Partnerships & Corporate Development, you will be a senior leader at the intersection of Teradata’s most consequential product and growth decisions. You will lead an integrated portfolio spanning enterprise product strategy, strategic product partnerships, product-led M&A, and collaboration with AI Services to accelerate adoption, value realization, and monetization of Teradata’s AI portfolio.
You will establish the strategic frameworks and operating mechanisms that determine where Teradata invests, what we build, what we buy, who we partner with, and how we convert AI capabilities into measurable customer and business outcomes. You will advise senior executives on portfolio choices, shape multi-year priorities, and hold cross-functional teams accountable for decisions, execution, and value realization.
This is a high-visibility leadership role for an executive who combines strategic insight, transaction and partnership judgment, operating rigor, and the ability to mobilize Product, Engineering, AI Services, Alliances, Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Support, and Operations around shared outcomes. The successful candidate will build and lead a high-performing team, create clarity in ambiguous situations, and turn strategic intent into durable business results.
What you will own and drive
- Enterprise product strategy: Lead the product strategy process across the portfolio, including market and competitive analysis, strategic narratives, portfolio choices, capability gaps, investment theses, annual planning, and Long Range Planning.
- Executive decision support: Establish a rigorous Build vs. Buy vs. Partner framework and present clear, fact-based recommendations, tradeoffs, scenarios, and investment implications to senior leadership.
- Product partnerships: Set the product partnership strategy and portfolio architecture across OEM, ISV, CSP, white-label, embedded, and strategic technology relationships.
- Partnership lifecycle leadership: Oversee opportunity identification, evaluation, commercial and product diligence, contracting, onboarding, joint roadmap execution, launch readiness, partner health, adoption, and monetization across the full lifecycle.
- M&A strategy and execution: Partner with Corporate Development and Product leaders to identify product capability gaps, develop acquisition theses, source and prioritize targets, lead product and technology diligence, define value-creation plans, and support integration planning.
- AI product monetization: Create an operating model with AI Services, Product Management, and Sales that connects services-led customer insight to product roadmaps, packaging, adoption motions, time to value, expansion opportunities, and recurring product revenue.
- AI Services collaboration: Sponsor feedback loops with AI Services, including Forward Deployed Engineering, to identify repeatable customer patterns, convert high-value services solutions into scalable product capabilities, and remove adoption friction.
- Business and portfolio management: Define goals, leading indicators, decision cadences, and executive reporting for strategy, partnerships, M&A, adoption, partner health, product usage, revenue contribution, and value realization.
- Cross-functional orchestration: Align Product, Engineering, AI Services, Alliances, Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Security, Cloud Operations, Support, Marketing, Sales, and operational enablement around clear decisions, owners, milestones, and outcomes.
- Executive partner engagement: Lead executive briefings, strategic partner reviews, joint technical workshops, and escalation paths with senior leaders at priority partners and acquisition candidates.
- Team leadership: Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team across strategy, partnerships, corporate development support, and monetization programs; set clear priorities and create leverage through strong operating discipline.
- Governance and accountability: Surface risks early, resolve cross-organizational dependencies, document decisions and commitments, and ensure strategic initiatives progress from recommendation through execution and measurable impact.
