Teradata delivers real business value with AI.
Our Internship Program
Our Mexico Intern program starts in September ending in March. We offer a fast-paced, flexible, fun environment where you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects and face new challenges. Our culture isn’t just about one kind of person. So many individuals make up who we are, making us that much more unique. This is what sets apart the dynamic, diverse, and collaborative environment that is Teradata.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will work closely with the AI End User and Governance team to make Teradata's AI and productivity tools easier for employees to adopt.
- Utilize AI tools to build simple automations, templates, or tool setups under the team's guidance that make AI tools like Claude and Copilot easier for employees to use.
- Create draft training materials, quick-reference guides, and short how-to videos that the team uses to onboard employees to AI and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Prepare materials for onboarding sessions and office hours, and join the team in running them to see how employees learn to use new tools.
- Compile adoption and usage data into simple summaries and charts that help the team understand how tools are being used.
- Test new AI tools and features hands-on, and write up clear notes on what works and what's confusing for end users.
What You'll Gain
- Hands-on experience with the enterprise AI tools shaping how companies work — Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, and Teradata's own AI.
- Real, in-use deliverables for your portfolio — tools, content, or materials that employees across a global company actually use.
- A high level of personal AI fluency — you'll leave far more capable with AI tools than when you started, a skill that transfers anywhere.
- Direct mentorship from an experienced AI team, with regular guidance and feedback on your work.
- A practical understanding of how enterprise AI adoption really happens — the technology, the training, and the change behind it, including how a large company rolls out AI at scale as "Customer Zero."
Who You’ll Work With
You'll be part of the AI End User and Governance team within Teradata's Technology and Intelligence Services organization, helping employees across the company adopt and get the most out of AI and productivity tools. You'll report to the leader of AI Adoption & Workforce Technology and work closely with the team day to day, while also collaborating with technical leads, key stakeholders, and partner teams across the broader organization.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
Required
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data, Business, or a related field, with an expected graduation date after the program ends.
- Available for the full 12–16 week program and based in Mexico.
- Comfortable learning and working hands-on with software and AI tools.
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently in written and spoken English.
Preferred
- Exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot, whether in coursework, projects, or personal use.
- Comfort creating content or engaging broad audiences — through internal channels, social platforms, presentations, or student/community groups.
- Some scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python), or a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps, data analysis, dashboards, or creating instructional/training content.
What You’ll Bring
- Genuine curiosity about AI — you try new tools on your own and like figuring out what they're good for.
- A bias toward action: comfortable jumping into an unfamiliar tool and learning by doing.
- An enablement mindset — you want employees to come away genuinely capable with AI, and you think about what makes a tool click for a non-technical person.
- Ability to explain technical ideas in plain language, and enjoy helping others get comfortable with new tools.
- Initiative and a collaborative style — you run with a task, ask good questions, and take feedback well.
