What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing database features
- Write efficient, scalable, and clean code primarily in C/C++/Rust
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of deployed applications
- Integrate with pipelines to facilitate seamless deployment and development cycles
- Monitor and optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Evaluate, investigate, and tune/optimize the performance of the application
- Resolve customer incidents and provide support to Customer Support and Operations teams

What makes you a qualified candidate
- Tech/M.Tech in CSE disciplines
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong programming skills in one or more systems-level languages such as C, C++, Rust.
- Strong knowledge of Postgres database internals
- Strong understanding of relational database architecture, transaction processing, durability mechanisms, concurrency management, and query execution concepts.
- Experience working with the internals of data management systems, infrastructure platforms, or performance-critical backend services.
- Proven expertise in designing and building scalable distributed systems operating under demanding performance and availability requirements.
- Deep understanding of Linux operating systems, resource management, and application performance optimization.
- Experience designing highly reliable systems with strong fault tolerance, recovery, and observability capabilities.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, data persistence layers, replication strategies, and data protection mechanisms.
- Ability to analyze, debug, and optimize complex production systems at scale
- Expertise in usage of AI tools like Claude for code development
