What You’ll Do
As an Accounting Manager, you will have full ownership of the accounting and compliance responsibilities for assigned legal entities. You will lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensure compliance with corporate policies and local statutory requirements, and serve as the primary point of contact for audits, financial reporting, and regulatory matters.
In this role, you will:
- Own the balance sheet and financial integrity of assigned legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end reporting.
- Manage statutory accounting, tax compliance, and both internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure key finance processes operate efficiently, including payroll, purchasing, expense reporting, and related controls.
- Oversee relationships with outsourced service providers and ensure service delivery meets business requirements.
- Support corporate initiatives, including process improvements, system implementations, and acquisitions.
- Coordinate closing activities across multiple stakeholders and ensure timely submission of required adjustments and transactions.
- Review account reconciliations, investigate variances, and drive corrective actions.
- Perform risk assessments, flux analysis, and internal control activities to maintain compliance and financial integrity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Legal, Sales, and Logistics to provide financial insights and resolve business issues.
- Safeguard sensitive company information and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.
Who You’ll Work With
You will be part of Teradata’s Global Finance organization, working closely with regional and corporate accounting teams, shared service centers, external auditors, tax advisors, and business stakeholders across multiple functions.
You will collaborate with teams in Finance, Legal, Tax, Sales, Human Resources, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement. This position will report to the relevant Regional Controller or Finance Director.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- Significant accounting experience within a large multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience managing month-end close processes and statutory reporting.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What You’ll Bring
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent preferred).
- Experience managing statutory audits and regulatory compliance activities.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial governance.
- Experience working successfully in a matrixed global organization.
- Ability to manage external service providers and outsourced accounting relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of local country accounting regulations and tax requirements.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and systems implementations.
- Foundational AI skills and an interest in leveraging AI to improve productivity, reporting, and business outcomes.
