What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for leading and planning major strategic programs for near term and future delivery of our products and services.  Your daily responsibilities will be varied and influential—including leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving activities to achieve program goals, and engaging with company leadership to ensure high levels of communication and awareness.  This role will also determine horizontal dependency programs to ensure visibility and alignment across the Product Organization and other key stakeholders. 

Global Program Managers are responsible for overseeing the entire product introduction process. This requires someone adept at integrating efforts and activities across many leadership levels and organizations, including regular engagement with managers and senior leaders from product management, product engineering, field/sales enablement, technical enablement, sales, marketing, customer success, finance, IT, and more.

Global Program Managers oversee the end-to-end product introduction process for their programs. Role Impact is defined by enabling day-one revenue at launch through strong stakeholder alignment on launch criteria, integration of customer feedback into the product, and delivery of high-quality assets across teams. This role ensures Go-To-Market readiness, equips technical teams to configure and position solutions, enables support teams to effectively assist customers, and delivers the necessary training to achieve full Teradata corporate wide readiness.

What Success might look like:  Shape and execute program strategy by translating plans into outcomes through structured planning, agile execution, and cross-functional leadership. Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, manage interdependencies, and drive aligned delivery plans and timelines. Oversee program scope, milestones, risks, and communications to ensure transparency and informed decision-making across leadership. Manage program execution across workstreams, ensuring successful handoffs to Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams while maintaining overall program health. Foster high-performing teams, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to broader organizational initiatives.  Demonstrate key leadership behaviors by focusing on the most impactful work, taking smart risks, speaking up to challenge when needed, and fostering a culture of learning, creativity, and collaboration. Act with urgency while simplifying and prioritizing efforts, making decisions that benefit the broader enterprise, leading with inclusion, strengthening the company’s reputation, and cultivating a growth mindset grounded in trust. Be recognized as a trusted ally to all stakeholders, consistently driving the highest-value work into the hands of customers with minimal friction.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • This role requires someone who is: (1) an eager and quick learner; (2) enjoys dynamic responsibilities and can work fluidly across many disciplines; (3) is methodical and pragmatic as a program manager and business strategist; and (4) is a natural integrator and team leader. 
  • Successful candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant program management of product development experience in the tech industry, including a minimum of 5 years supporting cross-functional, global teams
  • Operate effectively in situations of ambiguity and guide teams through challenges, simplifying/distilling complex issues and influencing change
  • Effective use of interpersonal skills and influence to drive optimal team performance
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Project management certification and significant relevant exposure is preferred
  • Certification and experience in agile work, skilled in implementing agile methodologies in a team setting

Pay Rate: $169,400.00 - $211,700.00 - $254,100.00 Annually

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance. Employees in this position are also eligible to participate in the Company’s comprehensive benefits programs, which include healthcare, life and disability insurance plans, a 401(k)-retirement savings plan, and time-off programs.
