What You’ll Do

  • Provide pricing strategy, deal execution and commercial expertise to support sales teams to win business and drive high-quality deals.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of product offerings and pricing structures to propose commercial options and solutions that enable teams to successfully sell products and services.
  • Provide negotiation support, guidance and expertise to help sales teams negotiate effectively with customers and procurement teams.
  • Manage deal compliance in line with the company’s commercial policy and governance framework, ensuring deal structures, discounts and commercial solutions align to policy and required approvals are secured.
  • Partner closely with Sales accounts on a daily basis, developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Create and assess bid pricing, identifying and managing potential commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Become an expert in the pricing tools and processes used by Deal Desk.
  • Work within Salesforce to manage pricing and secure appropriate approvals.
  • Evaluate and help structure pricing and commercial business terms to ensure they are in line with company policy.
  • Understand Teradata’s data analytics and AI technology in comparison to competitor products and commercial/pricing tactics.

Who You’ll Work With

This role sits within Teradata’s Deal Desk organisation (EMEA), reporting to the Regional Deal Desk Director. The role is based in Prague.

Day to day you will partner closely with Account Teams and Solutions Architects and work cross-functionally with Revenue Recognition, Sales Operations, Legal and Finance, Pricing & Strategy and Product Management

You’ll help Account teams win business and improve profitability by developing pricing, deal structures and commercial solutions. You’ll influence and guide sales teams and recommend pricing options.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ related work experience.
  • Strong Excel skills; good PowerPoint and wider Microsoft applications skills. Experience with Salesforce or similar quoting/sales support tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial and commercial capability gained through education, certification or work experience.
  • Self-directed, driven and proactive, with a continuous-learning mindset and focus on delivering excellent outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas.
  • Ability to discuss business issues professionally with management and provide advice, options and alternatives.
  • Business-fluent English.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in deal management or equivalent roles using similar skills (e.g., pricing management, commercial negotiations, procurement, finance or commercial sales support).
  • Experience in finance, technology, pricing, solutions engineering or sales-support roles.
  • Keen interest in data warehousing, enterprise-scale analytics and AI technology.

The pay rate below reflects the primary posting location of Czechia.

Pay Rate: CZK 844,700.00 - CZK 1,055,900.00 - CZK 1,267,100.00 Annually

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance.
