Who You’ll Work With

• This position is for a Staff Software Engineer in the Platform Services team within the Vantage Core Platform Software organization.
• The team builds core cloud platform services powering provisioning and lifecycle management of Teradata compute infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Key focus areas include:
• Cloud native provisioning and lifecycle automation for distributed compute environments
• Platform services for orchestration, scaling, and configuration management across public cloud platforms
• Serverless and event driven automation frameworks for infrastructure workflows
• Secure and reliable connectivity enablement for cloud deployed compute systems

What You’ll Do

• Lead design and architecture of core cloud platform services
• Design scalable platform capabilities supporting large scale provisioning
• Define architecture patterns and engineering standards used by multiple teams
• Build orchestration workflows using serverless and event driven services
• Develop automation for provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and teardown workflows
• Implement reliable provisioning pipelines and platform services
• Provide architectural guidance across engineering teams
• Drive engineering best practices for reliability and scalability

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 10+ years experience
• Advanced degree with 8+ years experience
• Deep experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strong programming expertise in Python or similar languages
• Experience designing large scale cloud native platforms
• Experience designing distributed systems used by multiple teams
• Strong understanding of IAM, networking, and multi region architecture
• Experience designing infrastructure automation using cloud APIs and IaC tools
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines

What You’ll Bring
