The world’s top companies across every major industry trust Teradata to improve business performance, enrich customer experiences, and fully integrate data across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

As an AI Technologist, you will serve as both a thought leader and a hands-on technical expert for our Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Public Sector clients.  You will design, develop, and deliver AI/ML demonstrations, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts that showcase the full power of Teradata’s AI/ML capabilities.   This role combines strategy with execution - you must be equally comfortable presenting to C-suite executives and writing production-quality code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions with Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Public Sector clients to understand business objectives, AI/ML use cases, and technical environments.
  • Translate complex AI/ML concepts into clear business outcomes for non-technical audiences.
  • Rapidly assess technical requirements and data readiness.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships through credible thought leadership.
  • Work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Hands-On Development & Delivery

  • Design, prototype, and deliver AI/ML technology demonstrators aligned with client needs.
  • Apply advanced analytics and ML techniques across predictive and prescriptive use cases.
  • Select, deploy, and fine-tune AI models from Hugging Face and other repositories.
  • Design and implement vector databases and retrieval-augmented solutions.
  • Develop agentic AI workflows including multi-step reasoning and autonomous behaviors.
  • Write clean, documented, production-ready SQL and Python code.
  • Use GitHub and DevOps processes for version control and collaboration.

Enablement & Knowledge Sharing

  • Create reusable code templates, frameworks, and accelerators.
  • Document best practices, architectures, and implementation guides.
  • Support pre-sales activities with technical expertise.
  • Share learnings and assets across Teradata’s global AI/ML community.
  • Demonstrate internal/external thought leadership by developing AI/ML content.

Who You’ll Work With

This is a forward-deployed engineering role, working directly with customers in short sprints to shape requirements and build compelling AI/ML solutions under time pressure, that will require frequent travel to customer sites.
