What You'll Do

As the VP, Product Strategy and PMO Lead, you will be the strategic leader responsible for driving Teradata’s product strategy and overseeing the Program Management Office (PMO). You will manage all program managers across Teradata, with a particular focus on senior Technical Program Managers, ensuring alignment between product vision, execution, and operational excellence.

You will operate with end-to-end accountability for product strategy, program delivery, and portfolio management. You will translate business objectives into actionable program plans, drive cross-functional execution, and ensure Teradata’s product initiatives deliver measurable impact in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute product strategy in partnership with executive leadership, ensuring alignment with Teradata’s corporate goals and market opportunities.
  • PMO Management: Lead, develop, and scale the Program Management Office, managing all program managers and senior Technical Program Managers to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of product and technology programs, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish best practices for program management, risk mitigation, and reporting, driving operational rigor and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure program alignment and successful go-to-market execution.
  • Customer Focus: Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand needs, gather feedback, and ensure program outcomes drive customer success.
  • Innovation & Change Management: Identify opportunities for innovation, lead change initiatives, and foster a culture of adaptability and resilience within the PMO.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, investments, and resource allocation for all programs, reporting outcomes to the C-suite and Board.

Who You'll Work With

You will report directly to the EVP & Chief Product Officer and serve as a key member of the Product Leadership Team. You will collaborate closely with:

  • Engineering & AI: Partner to define technical priorities and ensure program delivery at scale.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM): Align program execution with commercial strategy and market adoption.
  • Executive Leadership: Influence investment decisions, budget allocations, and report business outcomes.
  • Program Managers: Lead and mentor a team of senior Technical Program Managers and program leaders across Teradata.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, including significant experience in program management and product strategy for data platforms, analytics, or enterprise technologies.
  • Proven track record managing global program management organizations in complex B2B environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge of cloud databases, analytics platforms, and AI/ML ecosystems.
  • Experience leading senior Technical Program Managers and delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, with experience managing budgets and phased investments.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, change management, and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to operate with independence and accountability in high-growth, rapidly evolving markets.
