What You’ll Do

Teradata is looking for a Senior Manager, Field Marketing focused on the Australia, New Zealand and Japan (JANZ) sales unit. This hybrid role is based in Sydney, with 2-3 days in the Sydney Teradata office.

As a Field Marketing Senior Manager, you are responsible for directly supporting the ANZ sales team to execute programs with high impact that generate and stimulates acceleration of the sales cycle while building/strengthening customer relationships and preference for Teradata’s solutions. Additionally, this role will have dotted-line responsibility for the Japan Marketing team. This position will collaborate with Teradata’s sales leaders, channel partners, and campaign marketing teams to plan and execute compelling activities.

In addition, you must successfully collaborate on industry-specific campaigns, as well as help manage numerous projects simultaneously, in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a natural curiosity to learn and to explore. This is an execution, hands-on focused role, but will have the opportunity and expectation to partner with key stakeholders to develop marketing plans and activities across the entire JANZ sales unit that align with business priorities and Teradata's vision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Redefine the combined JANZ regional marketing strategy and activation model and represent the performance to senior leadership
  • Enable localized campaign, content creation, industry / partner messaging
  • Provide social media support for local leaders and subject matter experts
  • Work closely with the JANZ sales organization to execute marketing goals and objectives to support a strategic marketing plan that aligns with sales pipeline and revenue goals
  • Provide tactical execution against various regional marketing initiatives aimed at converting net new and expansion pipeline for our enterprise account segments
  • Help create field enablement materials, communications, call campaigns, outreach templates, etc. to increase SDR/AE conversion of marketing leads to meetings and qualified pipeline
  • Communicate regularly with various stakeholders to gather inputs and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Assist in coordinating cross-functional stakeholder input for the JANZ marketing calendar, weekly Sales/SDR updates, and monthly JANZ presentations
  • Proactively manage and update the field marketing calendar and budget
  • Domestic and International travel as needed

 

Who You’ll Work With

You will work closely with ANZ go-to-market teams, the JANZ leadership team, and local and global marketing colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across channels.

 

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years’ experience in the marketing space
  • Regional and industry marketing experience in B2B enterprise software/hardware
  • Impeccable organizational skills with experience managing field and virtual events
  • Proactive, self-motivated, innovative and collaborative mindset
  • Fluent in English plus Japanese language skills preferred

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Prior experience in creating integrated marketing plans for a high-tech company – data, analytics and AI experience a plus
  • Proven track record working with and supporting Enterprise sales teams with Account Based Marketing
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to work effectively across functional areas/departments
  • Strong execution / project management skills with close attention to detail and an emphasis on meeting critical deadlines
  • Working examples of executing social media strategy
  • Experience managing and delivering all aspects of in-person and virtual events
  • Knowledge of working within Salesforce to develop and track marketing campaigns and results
  • Experience working with or in the Japanese market preferred, Japanese language skills also preferred
  • Understanding of direct and indirect sales environments
