What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Teradata core database architectures supporting large‑scale, enterprise workloads.
• Drive query performance tuning, workload management, and system reliability, ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
• Influence technical strategy by acting as a database subject matter expert, guiding architectural decisions and long‑term platform evolution.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance data solutions.
• Define what success looks like by consistently delivering high‑impact solutions, improving system performance, and enabling innovation across teams.

• A high‑performing, collaborative team of database and analytics professionals based in Hyderabad and across global locations.
• Cross‑functional partners in engineering, analytics, infrastructure, and product teams, contributing to both regional and global initiatives.
• The role works closely with senior technical leaders and reports into the database and platform engineering organization.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• 10+ years of experience in database engineering, database architecture, or enterprise data platforms.
• Deep expertise in database internals, SQL optimization, and workload management.
• Advanced experience with query optimizer behavior and performance tuning in large‑scale environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
