What you will do

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing secondary research from multiple data sources to support the advanced research efforts of the Office of the CTO.  You will serve as the point of contact for market research analysis and will be expected to present your findings to broader audiences.  In this capacity you will leverage Industry Analyst data sets as well as perform AI based research to gather your findings.  Your research will help to validate and identify new market opportunities for future product innovations and technology advancements.  In addition, you will partner with our Customer & Technology Research Lead to assist in operationalizing various primary research projects with customers and prospects (interviews, surveys, panels). 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform market research and analysis for new product innovations and technology enhancements.
  • Present findings, insights and hypotheses to key stakeholders and cross functional teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research activities align with business goals.
  • Leverage AI platforms and other corporate research tools to perform analysis on key companies to support corporate development initiatives.
  • Manage and optimize research tools and platforms (e.g. participant recruitment, knowledge management, survey panels and usability testing tools)
  • Coordinate the recruitment of customers and users for research studies.
  • Coordinate with Advanced Research, UX and PM teams for scheduling and execution of research studies.
  • Schedule and manage research activities, including interviews, focus groups and surveys.
  • Build and distribute surveys using Qualtrics.
  • Clean and organize collected qualitative and quantitative data.

Who you will work with

On our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of professionals in Product Management, User Research, Customer Success, Sales and other key departments. You will play a crucial role in helping Teradata better understand our customers’ needs through qualitative and quantitative customer and user research. This position will report to the Customer & Technology Research Lead and will reside within the Office of the CTO.

What makes you a qualified candidate

  • Previous experience in a Market Research, Customer Research or similar role.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Strong attention to detail, comfortable managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Familiarity with AI tooling and assurance of referenceable data
  • Experience working with customer and UX research tools like Qualtrics, UserTesting, User Interviews, etc.
