What You'll Do
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to Teradata Studio, a SQL IDE in Teradata’s client tools portfolio. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining features that enhance the usability, performance, and reliability of Teradata Studio. You will collaborate closely with product management, UX designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality software that supports Teradata’s database ecosystem.
Your responsibilities will include:

Participating in requirement analysis and translating business needs into technical solutions.
Designing and implementing new features and enhancements in Teradata Studio.
Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern development practices.
Developing automated tests and contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Maintaining and improving existing functionality to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Collaborating in an agile development environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Assisting with product support and troubleshooting customer issues as needed.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to an Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is passionate about building intuitive developer tools and has experience working in agile teams with a strong focus on quality and user experience.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science.
• Over 5 years of design and development experience in Java.
• Strong Java programming skills with solid understanding of data structures.
• Good knowledge of SQL and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Proficient in Multithreading using Java.
• Familiarity with Eclipse RCP framework is a plus.
• Experience with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies.
• Knowledge of Teradata Database is an advantage.
• Skilled in building tools such as Maven and Ant.
• Good understanding of test frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with Architects and Engineering Managers to translate concepts into products.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins and Git is a plus.
• A strong advantage: hands-on experience with AI/ML orchestration tools such as LangChain and MLflow, streamlining the training, evaluation, and deployment of AI/ML models.
