What You Will Do

In this role, you will be part of Teradata’s Product Engineering leadership team and will lead the strategy and execution for infrastructure, test automation, and release automation for Teradata’s cloud analytics and AI platform. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the platform’s reliability, scalability, and performance across hybrid cloud environments, enabling Teradata to deliver trusted, enterprise-grade solutions. By leveraging agentic AI, you will transform CI/CD pipelines, test automation, release processes, cloud cost optimization, and resource management to drive efficiency and innovation.

  • Your work will shape the infrastructure and automation strategy for Teradata’s analytics and AI platform, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient delivery of services. You will design and implement cutting-edge infrastructure solutions, automated testing frameworks, and streamlined release pipelines to support Teradata’s VantageCloud platform, enabling rapid and reliable delivery of AI-driven analytics.
  • Architect and optimize Teradata’s infrastructure strategy to support scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native and hybrid deployments for AI and analytics workloads.
  • Leverage agentic AI to revolutionize CI/CD pipelines, automating and optimizing build, test, and deployment processes for faster, more reliable releases.
  • Design AI-driven test automation frameworks to enhance the reliability, performance, and security of Teradata’s platform, including AI-driven features and analytics services.
  • Utilize agentic AI to streamline release automation, minimizing errors and accelerating delivery across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Optimize cloud margins and spend by integrating agentic AI to dynamically manage resources, predict usage patterns, and reduce operational costs.
  • Integrate infrastructure and automation solutions with open table formats (e.g., Iceberg, Delta), query engines (e.g., Trino, Spark), and event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Pulsar).
  • Champion observability, monitoring, and resilience in infrastructure design, leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.
  • Lead the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, utilizing tools like Terraform or Ansible to streamline provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish best practices for test automation, release management, and infrastructure scalability, ensuring alignment with Teradata’s strategic goals.
  • Drive governance and compliance in infrastructure and release processes, ensuring security, auditability, and adherence to enterprise standards.

Who You Will Work With

  • This role reports directly to the SVP, Product Engineering, AI, Analytics, Apps, and UX and partners across the Teradata ecosystem. You will:
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and AI teams to ensure infrastructure and automation strategies support cutting-edge analytics and AI capabilities.
  • Partner with the Office of the CTO to align infrastructure and automation roadmaps with Teradata’s innovation and technology vision.
  • Work closely with Security Engineering to ensure infrastructure and release processes meet enterprise-grade security and compliance requirements.
  • Engage with product management and go-to-market teams to understand customer needs and shape infrastructure solutions that enhance Teradata’s AI and analytics offerings.
  • Support R&D teams in evaluating new tools, technologies, and automation frameworks to drive efficiency and reliability in Teradata’s platform.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

You bring a rare blend of deep technical expertise, system-level thinking, and strategic leadership.

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, distributed systems, or large-scale analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI and ML into enterprise-grade products at scale.
  • Expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, including secure integration with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of agentic AI architectures, orchestration frameworks, and generative AI integration.
  • Proven track record of building production-grade AI/ML inference pipelines with governance and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of open data formats, modern query engines, real-time streaming, and enterprise APIs.
  • Experience modernizing platforms from monolith to microservices with Kubernetes-based deployment.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (PhD preferred).

What You Will Bring

  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on, systems-thinking approach to architecture.
  • The ability to lead without direct authority by mentoring and influencing senior engineers across the organization.
  • Deep understanding of platform reliability, performance optimization, observability, and secure AI deployment.
  • Exceptional communication skills to clearly articulate technical vision and business impact.
  • A passion for AI, data, and analytics and a drive to deliver innovation at global enterprise scale.
