What You'll Do
As a Business Systems Analyst at Teradata, you’ll serve as the strategic bridge between our end-to-end business needs and IT capabilities. You’ll translate complex requirements into actionable technical solutions that drive clarity, alignment, and measurable outcomes across business and technical teams. This role ensures the right technologies are applied to the right use cases—accelerating decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements using light weight techniques into user stories, acceptance criteria, story mapping and personas and / or other relevant artifacts to support streamlined execution and measurable results.
- Help product owners to refine and prioritize backlog, and provide clarity on user stories for development team to ensure alignment
- Act as a liaison between business process owners, product owners, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery through active and rapid feedback.
- Collaborate with different QA teams and stakeholders to validate functionalities align with the intention of the user stories. This may include writing or review test case(s) for completeness
- Support retrospective & relevant Agile ceremonies to refine processes
- Stay current with emerging technologies—including AI Unlimited—and deepen your understanding of Teradata platforms and off-the-shelf (OTS) applications.
Who You'll Work With
You’ll engage with a diverse group of stakeholders including but not limited to:
- Business teams including requirement providers and process owners.
- IT and Security teams across Enterprise Tech, including CRM, ERP, Teradata Data Analytics, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity.
- Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Apps/Platforms Configuration Specialists, QA and IT Project Managers to ensure secure and scalable solutions.
On our team we are part of the Office of the CIO (OCIO) within Teradata’s Enterprise Tech organization—a unified team of IT and Cybersecurity experts. Our global team spans the US, Mexico, and India. You’ll report to a Business Operations Director and play a key role in enabling enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT/IS, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business systems analysis or related roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract technical design requirements from business discussions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English).
- Growth mindset—eager to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Passion for learning and growing both technical and functional skill sets.
- Familiarity with PPM and/or BPM tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
- Functional knowledge of platforms and apps such as Teradata VantageCloud, Salesforce, Certinia, Oracle Fusion, and Microsoft 365.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Lucidchart.
