What You’ll Do

1. SRE Engineer with Observability tools management, configuration and support for Teradata Product Offerings across AWS, Azure and GCP cloud providers.
2. Define monitoring standards for best performance, scalability, reliability, and resiliency.
3. Build Customer, infrastructure, application performance dashboards.
4. Monitor all the layers from top to the bottom starting with Customer facing interface to the low-end hardware layer. (All services, network layers, DB’s, CSP integrations).
5. Reduce MTTR and MTTD’s with Observability.

Who You’ll Work With

1. Work closely with Engineering, Cloud Operations, SRE, Support organizations to build Dashboards and Monitors.
2. Observability team plays a centralized key role at Teradata helping out multiple teams with achieving the goals by leveraging the Observability platform.
3. The position reports to Sr.SRE Engineering Manager.

 

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate 

1. Experience with Cloud infrastructure – AWS, Azure and GCP (any one or more).
2. Practical knowledge of Python, Terraform, Jenkins, GIT
3. Experience with Observability tools like Datadog (preferred) or New Relic or similar tool building Dashboards and monitors.
4. Knowledge of Operating systems (linux), TCP/IP, HTTP and micro-services (Kubernetes).

 

What You’ll Bring

1. 3-4 years of experience in Software industry preferably as Devops/SRE engineer.
2. Working knowledge of Distributed systems, trouble shooting and analytical skills.
