Job Description – DataOps Domain Architect

The DataOps Domain Architect/Solution Lead will be responsible for the Solution Design and Architecture for DataOps and to enable GDC in establishing DataOps best practices across the centers. As a liaison, he/she will identify the gap, plan and drive the development of required assets and tools to enhance GDC capability to deliver DataOps services. He/She will also be actively involved in pre-sales activities in Americas, EMEA and APAC primarily providing guidance on DataOps methodology and effort estimation. It will also include performing ~2 weeks onsite DataOps assessments (thus the person also needs to be flexible for short term travelling).

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Solution Designing and Architecture for End-to-End DataOps solution (including Automated Code Generation + CICD)
• Leading and mentoring the Development of tools that are part of DataOps solution for various domains, i.e. Data Integration, Migration, Others.
• Perform research on latest trends in delivery methodologies, tools and technologies to keep existing DataOps (Code Automation + CICD) collateral up to date and to develop new assets as required.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to Pre-sales opportunities for a workable DataOps approach as per the customer requirements and ensure reasonable effort estimates.
• Conduct DataOps assessment (Code Automation + CICD) for the customer covering all value streams implemented in the organization, i.e. Environment provisioning, Development, Testing, Packaging & Deployment, Reporting etc.
• Establish a standard regiment of DataOps capability development activities across the centers in collaboration with GDC Capability Management.
• Work with DataOps Solution Lead to establish relation and collaboration with Global and Regional DataOps teams to ensure alignment of objectives and initiatives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Profile:

• Engineering, BS, or MS in technical or professional discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Continuous education in strategies, design concepts and methodologies and/or technologies
• Hands on experience in a number of business disciplines such as project management, consulting services, business operations, information technology, and software development with a proven ability and record of success
• Experience in both Software Application Development + Data/Analytical Solutions
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with Data and/or Analytical Solutions
  • Minimum of 3-year experience as a Software Application Architect/Tech. Lead
  • Minimum of 3-year experience as Architect/Tech. Lead in Data and Analytical Solutions
  • Experience with more than 4 organizations/customers in Data/Analytical domain
  • Knowledge and experience with latest delivery methodologies specifically including Agile, DevOps and CICD with at least 2 organizations/customers
  • Experience with Automation in terms of code generation (DI/ETL/Other), test automation and Operations in at least 2 organizations/customers (it can be with the same customers referred in previous point)
  • Knowledge and experience with latest tools and technologies in Data and Analytics domain including Open source tools
  • Hands-on with software development/coding and data integration/ETL (further details are mentioned below)
• Proven technical writing skills
