Account Executive – Finance Industry

Context: to develop the business of one of our major bank accounts in France, we are looking for an ambitious, experienced and team player to integrate a successful team and to contribute bringing this account to the next level.

Job Summary 
The Account Executive is responsible for direct solution sales, for the profitable sales of Teradata solution portfolio products including software, hardware, professional services, and support services.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Capitalize on finance industry knowledge and contacts to uncover new business opportunities 
  • Effectively advise and influence customers through consultative selling techniques 
  • Research the customer environment to be able to populate the business impact model 
  • Articulate the solution in terms of ROI and TCO to the customer 
  • Utilize team members including post-sale delivery professionals, pre-sale technical professionals, and management to achieve business objectives and mature sales cycles 
  • Rely on excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to initiate and maintain executive-level interaction and customer satisfaction 
  • Develop new business opportunities and close new account business 
  • Close profitable TERADATA scalable data warehouse solution business incorporating hardware, software, professional services, and customer services 
  • Understand and articulate the value of Teradata Professional Services

Skills & Attributes 
A successful candidate should be driven, creative, a self-starter and strategic thinker. The candidate must possess the ability to lead, advise and advocate for customers. Ideal candidate would have intimate knowledge/experience that directly resonates with assigned accounts, especially Bank.

  • Preferred Qualifications
    Finance industry selling experience 
  • Previous experience selling Analytics, Big Data, and Data Warehousing solutions
  • Must have shown a longevity of working for one employer in the recent years and ideally have achieved some career progression
  • Strong solution sales professional with a proven record of achieving/exceeding annual quota target
  • Strong banking domain expertise, and financial market knowledge and network in the bank (BNPP)
  • Experience of environments where the sales process involves multiple tiers of complex organizations
  • Must proactively own the entire sales process and be able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • High competence in delivering presentations and managing client workshops
  • Strong commercial awareness, excellent customer facing and strong communication skills

Basic Qualifications 

  • 10+ years’ experience in selling software & services specifically in the analytics & data management space
  • Fluent in English
  • Track record in sales
  • Demonstrated success developing new account opportunities to C-Level executives
  • Capacity to embrace Salesforce or equivalent tools to drive the creation of a recurrent pipeline years after years
  • Energic person, result oriented, customer driven
  • Capacity to develop business in a long-term partnership
