We are looking for a professional product architect in database to work at our prestigious Teradata R&D Labs at Hyderabad to be part of Teradata’s database internals team.

With primary development center in Hyderabad and two R&D facilities in Bangalore and Pune the team are in excess of 500 engineers. R&D Labs at Hyderabad is the biggest R&D division outside of San Diego facility, and has teams producing world class features for the Teradata database stack and its Unified Data Architecture. The Labs team in India work on wide variety of products and technologies including core database internals, both on the server and client side of the Teradata’s world renowned database platform, Aster, Hadoop, Teradata’s cloud offerings and performance engineering

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science

Role & Responsibilities

• Work with product management to determine MVPs
• Validate Technical feasibility of features being developed
• Analyze and design complex features/applications
• Review designs documents for different database features and approve them
• Review impact on performance testing, integration testing, production testing
• Responsible for release quality and timelines
• Work with feature managers in India as well as US

Requirements 

• 9 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in R&D based teams
• Extensive knowledge in database internals and architecture
• Extensive knowledge in Teradata database design, architecture and workings of different sub systems
• Ability to design and architect features
• Hands on experience in C/C++/Java programming
• Strong data structures and algorithm skills
• Knowledge in Big-Data technologies
• Strong multithreading/parallel programming skills

Preferred skills 

• Knowledge of databases and SQL
• Knowledge in Agile methodologies
