Job Summary:

Teradata has established a significant subscription renewal business that exceeds $1 billion per year and has a goal of double-digit growth.  The VP of Global Renewals will responsible for defining the next phase Teradata’s renewal strategy, organization structure, and process changes.  This may include evolution to a formal Customer Success function in the future.  We are looking for someone that has build and/or managed a Renewals business of Teradata’s size and complexity in the SaaS industry.    

  • Oversees, tracks, and reports on Global and Region Renewals bookings
  • Senior manager responsibility for Renewal booking execution in each region
    • Renewal pricing
    • Renewal proposals and contracts
    • Partner with Account Executives to close renewals
    • Support Deal Desk and Account team for bid/discount approval
    • Manage assignments and staffing of Regional Renewal Leaders and Renewal Managers
    • Escalation path on renewals business from Region sales leaders and Revenue Operations Director
  • Management responsible for Renewal business process globally
    • Renewal Manger Roles & Responsibilities, including regional alignment
    • Managing and documenting Renewal business process requirements and enhancements
    • Works closely with GTM Tools team and IT on process and system requirements and issues
  • Important Skills/Experience
    • 10+ years’ experience selling/managing in software business
    • 5+ years’ experience managing software/cloud renewal business
    • Knowledge and experience in GTM Operations
    • Knowledge and experience with Finance and Accounting concepts for renewals
    • SDFC (or similar) user experience
    • Ability to manage and thrive in matrix organization
    • Comfortable in dynamic, transforming organization like Teradata
    • Leader that can interact with all levels of the organization from Executive LT, Regional leadership, Account teams, and corporate staff.
  • Education Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field required; MBA desirable but not required
