What You’ll Do
The Senior Manager, Cloud Production Engineering is a senior people leader responsible for driving execution excellence and operational rigor across a globally distributed production engineering organization. This role leads managers and senior engineers, owns delivery outcomes for critical cloud services, and partners cross‑functionally to translate strategy into predictable, high‑quality execution.
Delivery & Execution Ownership
- Own delivery of complex, cross‑functional cloud production initiatives with high organizational visibility.
- Establish and run a consistent operating rhythm covering intake, prioritization, planning, execution tracking, and delivery validation.
- Ensure commitments are met with predictable timelines, clear ownership, and disciplined follow‑through.
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Drive production readiness, operational standards, and delivery governance across the portfolio.
- Identify systemic execution or operational gaps and sponsor improvement initiatives to increase reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Reduce operational toil and manual effort through process improvement and automation‑first thinking.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Act as a senior partner to engineering, architecture, and operations teams to ensure solutions are designed and delivered holistically.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies through concise, executive‑ready updates to senior stakeholders.
- Influence decisions across organizational boundaries while maintaining strong delivery accountability.
People Leadership & Organization Management
- Directly manage a global services engineering organization across the U.S. and India, including managers, technical leads, and senior engineers.
- Set clear expectations, provide coaching and performance feedback, and support career development and succession planning.
- Build an accountable, execution‑focused culture aligned to senior manager leadership expectations.
Who You’ll Work With
You will partner closely with Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, Architecture, and cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and production‑ready cloud services. You will operate with senior stakeholders and leadership to ensure alignment, transparency, and accountability across the delivery lifecycle.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- 8+ years of experience in cloud production engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or large‑scale services engineering.
- 3+ years of experience as a people manager, including managing managers and globally distributed teams.
- Demonstrated success leading complex delivery programs and operational initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills applied to high‑impact, ambiguous delivery and operational challenges.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience operating at Senior Manager scope with responsibility for organizational outcomes, not just team‑level execution.
- Background in cloud platforms (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and production engineering operating models.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement, operational stability, and service reliability at scale.
