Who You’ll Work With

• This position is for a Software Engineer in the Platform Services team within the Vantage Core Platform Software organization.
• The team builds cloud platform services that power provisioning, lifecycle management, and runtime operations of Teradata compute infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Key focus areas include:
• Cloud native provisioning and lifecycle automation for distributed compute environments
• Platform services for orchestration, scaling, and configuration management across public cloud platforms
• Serverless and event driven automation frameworks for infrastructure workflows
• Secure and reliable connectivity enablement for cloud deployed compute systems

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain cloud native services for provisioning and lifecycle management of distributed infrastructure systems
• Contribute to platform capabilities that support infrastructure provisioning across public cloud environments
• Build and enhance orchestration workflows using serverless and event driven cloud services
• Develop automation for provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and teardown workflows
• Implement APIs and services supporting platform orchestration and automation workflows
• Collaborate with platform, networking, and cloud infrastructure teams
• Participate in troubleshooting provisioning and lifecycle issues
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of platform services

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with ~1+ years of experience
• Advanced degree with ~1+ years of experience
• Hands on experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages
• Familiarity with serverless technologies such as Lambda, Azure Functions, or Cloud Functions
• Understanding of cloud platform concepts such as IAM, networking, and infrastructure services
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience working in agile development environments

• Experience working across multiple cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container based platforms
• Experience contributing to infrastructure automation or platform services
