In the past year, Teradata migrated to the latest versions of Oracle Fusion and Salesforce. The role of the OTF Process Lead is to leverage your experience in OTF / OTC to act like a product owner of the Order Manager & Billing (OMB) processes, helping team members better understand existing processes, identify new processes for new business challenges and how to better leverage the capabilities inherent in our order management and billing systems to gain efficiencies, reduce effort and improve quality of work to better meet the requirements of our internal and external customers. There will be close coordination and partnership between our Go To Market Sales Operations teams on what will be entered as quotes, our Invoice To Cash team to help ensure higher quality invoicing and smoother cash collection, and our Revenue Recognition team with ensuring accurate and efficient translations of OMB bookings and amendments to revenue entries. You will report directly to the Director of Global Order Management & Billing, and be seen as their representative in process discussions.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Understand existing Order Management & Billing policies and processes that currently span across Salesforce and Oracle Fusion
- Provide training to OMB teams when we are introducing new, changing existing, or reinforcing existing key processes
- Identify process improvements and test their feasibilities in partnership with the OMB or ITC teams, as well as the IT teams. Document or improve process documentation for better understanding of the global Order & Billing Analysts.
- Identify opportunities that better leverage the orchestration, automation and AI capabilities inherent in Oracle Fusion (and Salesforce) to optimize or gain reliable efficiencies, reduce effort or rework, and improve quality
- Help design approaches to measure key performance indicators, particularly when it comes to identifying possible areas of process improvements, or to measure the benefits of deployed improvements
- Participate in broader strategic discussions, providing the perspective from OTF in the decision-making process
Work Environment:
This position is in India and considered a virtual position, however you are welcome to work in our Teradata Hyderabad office. Working hours are typically 2 -11:00 PM IST, however this position may require some meetings at other times to work with others in this global organization. Weekend work may be required depending on projects or releases.
Candidate Requirements:
- An exemplary level of ethics
- Excellent understanding of Oracle Fusion with at least three years of in-depth experience
- Proven track record with identifying process improvements, as well as implementing and optimizing Oracle Fusion solutions for Order-to-Fulfill processes, including order booking, drop ship order fulfillment and invoicing.
- Proficiency with project management with team members outside of your organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to lead problem solving activity.
- Ability to think creatively and adapt well to change
- Independent, customer- and solution-oriented working style
- The ability to manage stress without it negatively affecting work quality or professional demeanor
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of comfort handling details
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks successfully in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, all order related software and system tools
- Excellent work attendance records and habits
- Other responsibilities, as needed
- Preferred:
- Experience or certification in Agile methodologies
- Experience or certification in LEAN / Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience or certification in project management methodologies
