Senior Software Engineer – Customer Developer Tools (CDT)

Our Company

Teradata is the connected multi-cloud data platform for enterprise analytics. Our enterprise analytics solve business challenges from start to scale. Only Teradata gives you the flexibility to handle the massive and mixed data workloads of the future—today.

The Teradata Vantage architecture is cloud-native, delivered as-a-service, and built on an open ecosystem. These design features make Vantage the ideal platform to optimize price-performance in a multi-cloud environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Customer Developer Tools (CDT) team, you’ll design, implement, and enhance the systems and tools that connect Teradata’s Vantage platform to the broader developer ecosystem. You’ll work primarily in C/C++, GoSQL, and Python, contributing to features that power next-generation AI SQL capabilities, streamline developer experience, and improve database interoperability.

You will:

  • Develop and optimize core products in CDT that enhance performance and customer usability.
  • Work with SQL, AI SQL and GoSQL frameworks to improve query generation and execution efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CDT and database engineering teams to ensure smooth integration between Vantage and external developer environments.
  • Participate in design reviews, provide feedback, and uphold engineering best practices.
  • Support customer developer use cases and ensure product readiness across multi-cloud deployments.

Impact and Success

You’ll play a critical role in strengthening Teradata’s connection with the developer community, enabling customers to innovate faster by improving how they interact with the Teradata Vantage platform through intuitive, high-performance tools.

Success looks like delivering robust, maintainable, and well-tested code; collaborating effectively across teams; and consistently contributing to the evolution of Teradata’s developer ecosystem.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be part of the Customer Developer Tools (CDT) engineering organization, a team dedicated to empowering developers to build, query, and integrate efficiently with Teradata’s cloud data platform. You’ll collaborate with database core engineering, AI SQL, and GoSQL teams, partner with cloud platform engineers, and report to the  Director of CDT.
