What You'll Do
The Income Tax Analyst (II) has primary responsibilities for tax analysis and supporting documentation related to US Federal and state income tax returns, completion of tax research projects, income tax provision preparation under ASC 740, provide assistance as needed for federal and state tax audits, and participation in various Federal and state tax planning initiatives. Position will report to the Income Tax Manager.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state income tax workpapers and documentation to be provided to an outsourced tax compliance firm. Identify issues, apply independent judgment and provide insights through clear, concise and thoughtful documentation.
- Assist management in ensuring procedures are in place for the Federal and state tax accounting processes to meet SOX 404 requirements.
- Analyze and research tax issues as assigned, develop thoroughly documented technical analysis and communicate conclusions/recommendations.
- Participate in the research, analysis and documentation of various Federal and state tax planning initiatives.
- Assist with data requests from federal and state income tax examiners, as needed.
- Remain current in legislative and tax policy changes that have significant impact to the company.
- Assist with preparation and analysis of issues related to income tax accounting pursuant to ASC 740, including documentation and calculations surrounding uncertain tax positions, tax account reconciliations and other tax projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Assist with property tax analysis and one-off US indirect tax related analysis and filings as required.

As a tax analyst, you will join a supportive and experienced tax team that values accuracy, integrity, and collaboration. You will work directly with a tax manager and others in the tax department as needed. There may also be times when you will work with others in various departments within the company to obtain information needed for tax accounting and compliance. What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting/Finance. Master’s Degree in Tax is a plus.
- This position is hybrid/remote, with occasional meetings in the office located in Peachtree Corners, GA (Norcross).
- Strong recent tax compliance and/or tax accounting skills within a public accounting firm handling provision calculations/tax compliance for large multinational clients, OR within a multinational corporation doing same.
- 2-3 years corporate income tax experience or public accounting experience
- Strong foundation in general tax and accounting principles and experience with Oracle Fusion and FCCS/Smartview software are favorable.
- A highly motivated individual with demonstrated ability to apply advanced understanding of complex state and federal income tax concepts.
- Proficiency in tax research tools and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
