Globalization Engineer

What You'll Do

As a Globalization Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling our products to succeed in global markets by driving both Internationalization (i18n) and Localization (l10n) efforts. You’ll work closely with development teams to ensure our applications are designed for multilingual and multicultural environments, and you’ll manage the localization of software UI and documentation to deliver seamless user experiences across languages.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing internationalization features in software applications.
Testing multi-byte character sets, including Japanese and other non-Latin scripts.
Supporting database compatibility and localized data handling using SQL.
Contributing to codebases in C++, Java, or Python.
Managing localization workflows for UI, help content, and manuals.
Using Translation Management Systems (preferably XTM) to streamline translation processes.
Integrating modern localization technologies such as machine translation and AI-assisted tools.

Software Engineers to embed internationalization best practices into product development.
Technical Writers and Localization Specialists to ensure high-quality translations and culturally appropriate content.
Product Managers to align globalization efforts with product strategy.
Global QA Teams to validate multilingual functionality and user experience.

Minimum Requirements

Experience in software development with a strong understanding of internationalization.
Familiarity with multi-byte character testing and handling.
Basic knowledge of SQL and database operations.
Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
Experience in software and documentation localization.
Experience using Translation Management Systems (XTM preferred).
Understanding of modern localization workflows, including machine translation and AI tools.
