What You’ll Do 

What the role is about 

As Area Vice President for ANZ Industries, you will lead a critical growth engine within Teradata’s ANZ & Japan business, driving new customer acquisition and deepening existing relationships across all ANZ Industries outside Financial Services and Public Sector. This role is accountable for delivering sustainable revenue growth through business value-led selling of Teradata’s data and AI solutions. 

 

You will own both strategy and execution, setting the vision, scaling the sales motion, and ensuring operational excellence. Equally important, you will serve as the governance lead across the entire ANZ and Japan Unit, embedding best practices, sales process discipline, and cross-team alignment to ensure consistent execution across regions, sectors, and stakeholders. This is a highly visible leadership role for a hands-on builder who can elevate performance, enforce rigor, and unlock growth in a complex enterprise environment.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing sales strategies that drive annual recurring revenue and long-term customer success. Your leadership will directly influence Teradata’s growth, profitability, and market presence in the region.

  • Driving adoption of Teradata’s software and services through outcome-led sales.

You will report to the VP Sales for the JANZ region and collaborate closely with: 

  • VP Sales for JANZ and regional leadership 
  • Sales Technology, Partner & Alliances, and Consulting Delivery teams 
  • People Partner, Customer Services, Finance, and Sales Operations 

Together, you’ll ensure alignment and execution of strategic goals across the organization. 

 

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate 

  • 15+ years of B2B sales experience, including account management 
  • 5+ years in sales leadership roles with a track record of team development and performance management 
  • Proven success managing $30M+ in annual revenue 
  • Experience in Data Analytics, AI, Software, and Consulting Solutions
