What You’ll Do

Install and configure the BI tool on non-production and production environments.
Add, delete, and modify user login information.
Upgrade BI tool version or apply patch on non-production and production environment.
Allocate, delete, and modify BI environment space as required.
Coordinate with Infrastructure team during adaptive maintenance (hardware changes, software patches, tool upgrades) of Data Integration environment components for nonproduction and production environment.
Assign / Maintain access rights to BI Environment objects.
Object Creation (folder, connection) on non-production and production environments
Maintain BI Environment settings on non-production and production environments.
Migrate scripts/ jobs/ sequences/ objects from production to development / test environment for new development/ modification or between non-production and production environments.
Adjust BI Environment job settings while migrating scripts/ jobs/ sequences/ objects to Dev/Test/QA environments.
Assign / Maintain BI Environment Security Roles
Connectivity down (between BI server and server hosting BI tool metadata repository)
Connectivity down (between BI Server and Teradata servers)
Restart BI Environment backup/restore processes as required.
Escalate BI Environment backup/restore failures to second level support as required.
BI reports execution time too high or BI reports not completing in timeframe.
Noncritical discrepancy between documentation and system implementation
Monitor the MicroStrategy Intelligence Server, Web Server, Narrowcast Server, Intelligence Cubes, and Enterprise Manager.
Monitor performance of BI Environment components, proactive monitoring.
Report on BI environment space usage and file system thresholds.
Report on performance and capacity of the BI Environment.
Recommend additional performance and capacity planning services when undesirable trends are discovered.
Monitor BI Environment backup/restore processes for successful completion.
Respond to change requests to migrate and deploy BI environment objects (reports, BI components, cubes, models, etc.) per scripts/changes provided by development teams.
Release new BI reports, BI components to the production environment based on data warehouse release cycles.
Add/Delete/Modify workbooks and published data source.
Maintain User Groups.
Maintain permissions on workbooks.
Monitor MicroStrategy View Performance.
Monitor MicroStrategy Server Disk Space.
Troubleshooting issues with end users and teams.
Capacity Planning with end users to assist with system needs.
Grant Responsibility to open tickets with/for Microstrategy, DataStage, Alteryx.
Open & Track Incident tickets or Cases with software provider

Teradata seeks a MicroStrategy Operations & Support professional to lead in operating & supporting MicroStrategy environment.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

Bachelor’s Degree from a reputed Educational Institute
3+ years of hands-on experience in working with MicroStrategy.
Collect, cleanse, massage, and organize data in both SQL and No-SQL environments.
Fluency in SQL and good knowledge of relational databases.
Understanding of Agile software methodology.
MicroStrategy certification is a plus.
Experience on Alteryxis a plus.
Have experience in Problem/incident investigation/resolution and communications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language
Must be willing to provide 24x7 and On-call support.
Must be willing to travel – both short-term and long-term if required.

What You’ll Bring

Experienced in handling MicroStrategy Batch Job failures, delays and troubleshooting within defined SLA's.
Hands-on experience in DataStage, Teradata, scheduling tools (Control-M) and SQL.
Ability to analyze & resolve Production issues in MicroStrategy environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience in providing L1/L2 support to MicroStrategy Production environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experienced in customer interfacing and communications.
Good understanding of Problem/incident investigations, resolutions & processes.
