Teradata Cloud seeks a Sr DevSecOps Engineer to lead in building and operating secure systems in a distributed system highly distributed and dynamic Hybrid Cloud environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain an effective DevSecOps strategy and process.
  • Develop and enhance security measures, policies, and procedures that align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Implement security controls and tools throughout the SDLC, including code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing, to identify and remediate security risks.
  • Automate security testing and vulnerability scanning processes to integrate them seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Monitor and analyse security events and alerts from various systems, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, provide recommendations for remediation, and track their implementation.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate secure coding practices, such as input validation, access control, and encryption, into software development processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data security and privacy.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to development and operations teams regarding security best practices, secure architecture, and secure deployment strategies.

 

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • 4 -6  years of relevant job experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on security practices within an Agile development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, application security, and common vulnerabilities, such as OWASP Top 10.

What You’ll Bring

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features and services.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret security logs, event data, and other security-related information.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Performed compliance Audit support such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
  • Understanding of security principles, secure architecture design, and common security frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST, CIS).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, such as vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and SIEM solutions.
