Your Role

The Teradata Data Modeler PM role is a multi-faceted role, active as part of end-to-end product delivery as well as pre-sales support and analytics exploration.

Teradata Data Modeler PM are responsible for the release of products used for data design and analytics and must have a deep understanding of the fine points of the data modeling arena: data warehousing, big data, data usage, tools, and analytics, in order to extract the correct requirements and design solutions from a data perspective.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As a DM PM, you are responsible for developing, releasing, and supporting Teradata data models and processes, including activities such as but not limited to:
  • Data design – data modeling, analytic data sets, feature store
  • Workstream scoping, planning and execution
  • Requirements elicitation, definition and management (functional, non-functional) and associated release collateral and training
  • Communications and collaboration within and across teams
  • Mapping business rules to logical models
  • Understand Physical models, views, and data required for analytics

Your Background:

  • Deep industry experience in Manufacturing, other industries and Government experience is a plus
  • Degrees in Computer Science, Engineering or other related areas is desirable
  • Knowledge/Experience in data warehousing, and data modeling and experience with Teradata DBMS, Teradata ClearScape a plus
  • Strong third normal form modeling skills with demonstrated understanding of generalized constructs
  • Strong abstraction skills in translating from specific user business requirements to logical, physical, semantic, and analytic data models. Ability to create source-to-LDM mappings
  • Familiar with AI/ML analytics
  • Familiarity with both traditional and agile product delivery and development cycles
  • Requirements for documentation and information-gathering techniques
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-focused, resourceful, decisive, composed, problem-solver, flexible and adaptable
  • Working effectively in multi-disciplinary and cross-organizational teams
