Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will be part of the newly formed Office of Business Process and Program Management. This team will have the sole purpose of bringing organization, structure, and business process maturity to the company’s most strategic initiatives and operational imperatives.
This role will enable you to work closely with business leaders and subject matter experts across Teradata to deliver cross-functional transformation projects. You will be at the heart of our strategic transformation. The Senior Project Manager will partner closely with these teams to bring industry best practice project management techniques and ensure results are driven from strategy through execution.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to translate goals and objectives into detailed execution plans
• Provide guidance on the best project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid) and approaches to deliver intended results
• Lead, facilitate, and motivate high-performing teams through project execution
• Manage and distribute project communications (including overarching communication plan, status reports, executive level presentations, etc.)
• Monitor progress on plans and outcomes with a data-driven approach and through project dashboards
• Use tools, templates, and best practice methodologies to support agile approaches to project execution and oversight
• Supports the advancement of internal best practices by collaborating with other project/program managers with the Office of Business Process & Program Management

Required Education and Experience

• 5-7 years of relevant work experience managing cross-functional change or transformation projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certifications preferred
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical degree
• Customer focused with ability to build effective teams
• Strong organizational skills

Location

• We will consider virtual candidates in North America, EMEA, and India for this opening. Candidates located near an office (for example, San Diego, CA, Munich, Germany or London, England) will work in a hybrid in-office/work-from-home model.
• Will require occasional travel.
