Position Summary:

As the Sr. Analyst, Competitive Analysis, you will own and drive all activities related to competitive pricing at Teradata. You will be a key member of the Pricing & Packaging team and help drive more innovation, market-focused and informed pricing strategies.

You will work cross-functionally with the product management, competitive intelligence, product marketing and sale teams to gather, compile and organize competitive pricing information, which will be used to make ad-hoc and continuous pricing and packaging recommendations.

Your work:

• Perform systematic, proactive, and focused competitive pricing analysis spanning across multiple competitors
• Create & maintain competitive pricing database
• Create & maintain competitive pricing and TCO estimation tool creation & maintenance
• Analyze on how Teradata competes from a pricing and TCO perspective across competitors, regions, systems sizes, etc. 
• Use competitive pricing analysis to help determine pricing strategy, set list pricing and support deal negotiation 
• Use qualitative win-loss analysis to derive pricing recommendations and decision
• Write competitive pricing briefs and understanding of competitive pricing approaches in sales motions

Your skills and attributes:

• Passion for the data & analytics industry
• Self-starter with strong organization skills
• Excellent team player, with strong communications skills
• Ability to summarize complex and dense information into crisp and information summaries

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Math, Economics or other related field of study).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Software and Data & Analytics industries
• Ability to travel up to 10-20% post-COVID restrictions

Preferred:

• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA)
• Knowledge of analytics and related technology to test various hypotheses
• Knowledge of Teradata’s market and competitors
