Cloud Security Engineer - 215931

We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join our team of security pros to partner with teams across the organization to ensure we meet a high standard of security for our customers and ourselves. You will leverage a broad range of technical knowledge and security capabilities to deploy and enhance security solutions in partnership with IT and Product to deliver secure, high-powered analytics to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with security leadership, architecture, compliance, and operations teams to execute on security strategies
• Partner closely with Product and IT teams to implement cohesive security solutions across diverse computing environments
• Deploy and configure production security tools and services to monitor and protect cloud workloads, networks, and endpoints
• Maintain knowledge of emerging security threats, trends, and best practices
• Champion the implementation of security best practices, design principles, and standards
• Implement scalable processes for provisioning cloud access and maintaining least-privilege
• Assess and propose solutions regarding cloud security to leadership
• Problem solve and identify potential alternatives to solve challenges, explaining any trade-offs and risks effectively

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years’ experience in technical domains including application development, cloud computing, security, identity and access management and infrastructure
• Experience working in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP and their security offerings
• In-depth knowledge of cloud, network, and infrastructure security
• Experience securing solutions in complex hybrid cloud enterprise and SaaS environment(s)
• Demonstrated ability to implement security best practices in partnership with development teams and systems owners
• Ability to understand and implement secure architectural design patterns in the cloud
• Knowledge of security best practices and common security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, Common Criteria, OWASP, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate requirements and risks to stakeholders from engineering to senior leadership
• Experience documenting deployment diagrams and operational run books

Bonus Points:
• Experience in a customer-facing role such as consultant or solutions engineer
• Security focused certifications like CCSK, CCSP, CISSP
• Experience working with FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, HIPAA
• Experience contributing to the security community (e.g., open-source tools, presenting at conferences)
• Experience as a software developer or intermediate scripting ability
