Internship Program

 This is your chance to be a part of the Teradata Vantage on VMware Engineering team acting as a key influence and enabler into our Teradata on VMware product strategies and offerings. The Teradata Vantage on VMware Engineering team focuses on private cloud Teradata VMware implementations.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated cloud / software engineer with prior software development experience.  Needs the ability to multi-task across development efforts beyond just coding but system configuration, testing, and research assignments. Needs to be successful working with an integrated development team. Experience with Teradata Vantage / Advanced SQL Engine and other Teradata technologies would be a plus. Needs good cross team communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience working in fast paced agile scrum development environment
  • Experience with one or more programming and scripting languages including Python, Power CLI, JSON, C/C++
  • Experience / knowledge of VMware and VMware features
  • Design, develop, code, test & debug application software
  • Ability to work in Linux/Unix environments
  • Follow documented specifications and plans with minimal supervision
  • Tool suite familiarity (Jira, Wiki, Slack, Artifactory, and Microsoft Teams)
  • Establish good working relationships with the team
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional software development position
  • Strong knowledge of coding, system implementation, and scripting skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly
  • Some level of SQL / Teradata Advanced SQL Engine knowledge
  • Familiarity with VMware technologies
  • Good knowledge of working with Linux or Unix operating systems

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Must be enrolled in BS/MS/PhD degree program. With graduation dates between December 2023-June 2025.
