Your Opportunity

The Platform Services Intelligent Monitoring (PSIM) engineering team is looking for a highly motivated intern to help improve the products, tools, and processes we use to develop software. You will be working under with a mentor and also be interacting regularly with other members of our highly talented team.

The PSIM team creates software for monitoring, observability and telemetry solutions supporting our business for the Teradata’s deployed analytics ecosystems used by customers. We are seeking candidates to work on full-spectrum software development activities – working with a mentor to understand and refine design, and to develop, instrument, and test code written in Java, Go, Python or C++. The resulting software would be deployed on virtual machines deployed in a private cloud or public cloud environment such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.

The ideal internship candidate is currently working towards a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, is a highly motivated self-starter, and is eager to work with a team of experienced software architects and developers to contribute to the Teradata product set.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Passion for writing software
• Programming experience with at least one significant project in at least one of the languages mentioned above
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands
• Working knowledge of the bash scripting language
• Must be enrolled in BS/MS/PhD degree program, in computer science or related field
• Any exposure to cloud technologies is a plus
