Solution Account Consultant – BAR Presales

Job Description:

This is for an BAR (Backup & Restore) Presales Consultant in our Global Sales Solutions team. This person will work with a diverse group of internal/external factors and consult with sales teams worldwide in the sizing/configuration of TERADATA BAR solutions for On-Premise, Disaster Recovery and Cloud implementations to meet customer requirements. This person will provide strategic technical support to the sales organization with the goal of enhanced revenue generation. 

What you will do:

Achieve excellence in consulting and design for sales solutions, working with the field Solution Engineers on BAR configurations for sales opportunities.  This is a junior level position and will be proficient at the following:

  • Backup and Restore Consultation Design and Sizing
  • BAR Configuration Validation
  • Participating in Account Team discussion and presenting BAR options
  • Process and Tools Clarification

  • Effective knowledge and understanding of the BAR product line

  • Timely and high-quality support of the sales cycle
  • Work across organizations and effectively navigate cross functionally to accomplish objectives 

Skills and Experiences you will Need to Be Successful:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant technical field
  • Field technical experience in the large enterprise space. Experience with sales process, sales teams, and customer-facing positions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and nonrelational databases.
  • Previous technical knowledge of backup techniques, data storage and Cloud technologies a plus.
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent communication skills, detail oriented.
  • English fluency
