Educational Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree from a reputed Educational Institute.
 Post-graduate degree is a plus

Technical Skill Set Required:

 5-8 years of IT Exp
 3+ Years of Teradata Development experience
 Performed Low/ High Level Design activities
 Good understanding of Teradata database architecture and Teradata Physical Design.
 Good understanding of Data warehouse concepts and processes.
 Understanding the Logical Data Model and creating the Physical
 Working Knowledge of respective industry viz. Communication, Finance, Aviation or Manufacturing

Soft Skills Required:

 Good Communication Skills
 Willing to Learn and explore new technologies

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 Analyze business requirements to determine the data elements needed in the Semantic Layer and Core Layer data models to support the solution
 Interact with Business SMEs to understand required data elements, the business rules governing them and confirm definitions
 Create, manage and modify conceptual, logical and physical data models for the Core and Semantic Layers. Present data models to business and technical audiences for review and validation
 Create the PDM for the Landing, Staging and Source Image areas of the Acquisition Layer and Conduct the PDM review.
 Implement Teradata Best practices for Physical Design including index choices, partitioning, compression, data types, RI, etc.
 Implement Data Profiling
 Develop/maintain all target-from-source mappings – Business Requirements to Access Layer data model(s). Access Layer data model(s) to Core Layer data model, Core Layer data model to Acquisition Layer.
 Translate detailed physical design into Data Definition Language (“DDL”).
 Implement and test DDL with sample data provided.
 Object migration from development environment to test environment

Level: Senior Professional

Educational Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree from a reputed Educational Institute.
 Post-graduate degree is a plus

Technical Skill Set & Experience Required:

 8-12 years of experience
 Good knowledge in Teradata concepts and Logical/physical database design
 Good documentation skills.
 Performed Low/ High Level Design activities
 Good understanding of Teradata database architecture and Teradata Physical Design.
 Good understanding of Data warehouse concepts and processes.
