Job Location                 : - Mumbai / Pune


Educational Requirements:

  • Engineering Graduate or 3-year Engineering Diploma


Skill Set Required: -

  • Should have 5 to 10 years of IT experience along with 2-3 years cloud support experience.
  • Strong understanding of AWS compute, storage and networking services like EC2, VPC and S3
  • Good knowledge of AWS step functions
  • Working knowledge of AWS API Gateway, Cloud formation templates, SES and Step Functions
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code –CloudFormation, Terraform and ARM templates
  • Familiarity with Serverless technologies in AWS
    • This is where the ProofPoint platform is hosted, and support team is expected to do basic troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Python code
  • Working knowledge of basic cloud configurations on AWS, GCP and Azure
    • VM instances, NACLs, Security groups, connecting to VMs, starting and stopping resources
    • VPCs and networking communication flows, Logging, and cloud costs
    • User permissions and policies, security
    • Ability to follow the code, application flow to troubleshoot and possibly remediate errors
    • Deploying basic services and foundational understanding of how they work


Key Responsibilities   

  • Manage and support 24x5 Proofpoint support for multiple customers
  • Hands-On in widely used DevOps tools.
  • Also operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes.
  • Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality.
  • Responsible for the documentation of project deliverables.
  • Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.
  • Incident/task prioritization during the shift
  • First level of escalation for team members
  • First level of help/support for team members
  • Ensure even distribution of workload within shift members
  • Handling S1 during shift


Mandatory Skills / Attributes

  • Minimum 5-10 years of IT experience.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of Cloud hands-on, cloud operations and infrastructure automation experience.
  • Experience over multiple of the supported public cloud platforms
  • Hands-on experience in Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Private Cloud Services etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
  • Cloud Certification.
  • Should have basic leadership qualities.
  • ITIL or other relevant certifications are desirable
  • Service Now / ITSM tool day to day Operations
  • Must be willing to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis with the team.
