Job Summary:

The Program Sr. Manager, Peer Advantage, is a member of the Global Customer Advocacy team, part of Global Marketing. This role oversees the global Peer Advantage program, Teradata’s reference program comprised of our most influential customers willing to be advocates and share their stories and experiences through sales references and marketing activities. Business outcomes delivered by Peer Advantage include driving ARR Growth, TCV, expansions, and new logos as well as enhancing market perception and accelerating closed-won sales opportunities.

The Program Sr. Manager owns all facets of the program, including membership, strategy, vendor relations, internal/external communication, member website, KPIs, sales enablement, event strategy & execution (i.e. webinars, Universe Conference), reference volume, redemption fulfillment, liability process, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with key stakeholders, this role will drive the program scope, strategy, goals, and overall deliverables, including KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Global Marketing managers to identify new member targets and manage outreach to secure new members.
  • Manage all aspects of membership including new member outreach, assimilation into program, and Salesforce/PingFederate integration.
  • Manage reward redemption process including fulfillment, member website descriptions, identification of new rewards, and alignment with Teradata Ethics & Compliance policies. Maintain redemptions guide to document all reward processes.
  • Manage all analyst activities including securing customers for key analyst white papers and evaluations such as Gartner Magic Quadrants and Forrester Waves. Will work closely with Teradata Analyst team to fulfill requests and solidify Teradata’s position as a market leader.
  • Support sales opportunities through identification of target Peer Advantage members to complete 1:1 call/meeting/site visit requests and RFPs.
  • Execute all aspects of Peer Advantage presence at Teradata Universe Conference including strategy, Group Reference Lunches, member reception, room design, analyst/influencer/ academic meetings, and member recognition.
  • Spearhead all Peer Advantage virtual events (1:Many Webinars / Group Reference Calls), including securing customer speakers, analyst speakers, and moderators (Teradata executive or SME), producing agenda, script, and key messages, and driving promotions with Corporate Communications, Demand Generation, Events, and Social teams
  • Identify and partner with vendors to maintain key components of Peer Advantage. Current vendors include: member website (Ntara), ReferenceEdge software (Point of Reference); book/Welcome Kit fulfillment (ThinkPatented); Reward vendors (University of Oxford, Gartner, Audible, Shumsky, Data Modeling Institute, Tango Card).
  • Manage ReferenceEdge software to maintain in-depth customer profiles, reference activity, reporting, licensing, and reward history. Works closely with IT and Point of Reference to provide platform optimization and ensure integration with member website.
  • Partner with Teradata PR to secure customers for media interviews and press releases.
  • Lead all internal communications / training for sales enablement, including new hire engagement, development of job aids and learning modules, and Peer Advantage SharePoint content.  
  • Lead all member communications. Includes monthly point expiration emails.
  • Manage member website including all content and design.
  • Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to align with KPIs and Corporate objectives.
  • Manage budget in Aprimo and monthly Peer Advantage Liability reports. Partner with key stakeholders (i.e. Corporate Finance & Marketing Operations) to ensure redemption costs are reconciled with Peer Advantage liability balance sheet.

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of Teradata products, solutions, and strategy.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving company growth.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, diverse teams and all levels, including executives.
  • Self-motivated, organized and deadline-driven with the ability to manage and support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to think creatively, conceptually and strategically.
  • Experience with event management, content planning and strategy.
  • Ability to collaborate with vendors and marketers as necessary.
  • Strong financial management and budget management experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Aprimo, Kentico, Percolate, Microsoft Office, and ReferenceEdge.
  • 15+ years in Customer Advocacy role.
  • MBA or MA in Communications.

  • Position can be virtual.
  • Travel 15-25% (both domestic and international)
