POSITION SUMMARY

Our Account Executives are responsible for end-to-end strategic management of a defined set of customer accounts. As a Teradata Account Executive, we will entrust you to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients, for us and for your own personal development and ongoing success. We know this is a big ask, but it’s what makes our Account Executives stand out from the crowd.

You will be responsible for delivering Teradata’s unique portfolio of solution products and services to your customer, our client. Hence, you will need the experience and technical ability to see and assess their challenges in order to provide our best possible solutions for their needs. Your direct solutions sales experience is as vital as your ability to seek out and capitalise opportunities for profitable growth. This means working closely with your customer, both as a consultant and as a trusted advisor. Teradata’s professional reputation and range of solutions and services is second to none, so you’ll be a trusted ambassador for our brand. 

Your communication skills must be such that you can identify and clearly explain solutions to your customer, and that means right up to the C-suite. Excellent collaborative and organisational skills are a must, too, because you’ll be part of a greater Teradata team of technologists, sales colleagues and partners, all working together for the best interest of our customers. And it goes without saying that you’ll have the strong personal skills to quickly build trust and respect between you and your customer. 

You’ll need a range of skills and experience, including:

  • Strong sales leadership qualities, and experience of selling and working with analytic data solutions across multiple verticals
  • Experience of managing a virtual account team, which includes coaching and developing your account team to help drive business value for your customers
  • The ability to construct, sell and close complex deals of $4m+ and build the supporting business case
  • A track record of building and executing a strategic account plan in enterprise customers – and developing win/win propositions with key partners within the organisation, e.g. system integrators and technology providers
  • Excellent communication skills to build a senior network to C-Level executive across multiple business functions
  • Fluency in Finnish
  • Experience selling into other Nordic countries would be an asset
