Summary Description

Teradata is looking for an experienced Global Director of Digital Operations to join the growing Digital Centre of Excellence team. This individual will manage a team of senior marketing technologists, web development, administration & other operations professionals focused on improving the enterprise digital presence of Teradata. She/he will be responsible for building & managing a robust process center for Teradata’s marketing transformation, providing the orchestration of systems and other resources.

Digital strategy and operations experience is a must in this role, and this person would be key to modernizing & driving our marketing technology & processes ecosystem. This person will also oversee all web operations for several key digital initiatives as well as will be responsible for the maintenance & adoption of the company’s integrated marketing technology stack. She/he is passionate about technology, process improvement and change management and will  champion change management by aligning various system roadmaps with the broader Martech vision & strategy. This role is highly versatile and uses varying skillsets, such as System Management, UX (User Experience) and Program Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing new operational strategies or initiatives that will help grow the company’s digital presence. This includes anything from creating a new website to researching and implementing new marketing technologies.
  • Manage a team of website professionals including Web Operations, Digital development, User experience, Technical SEO & more.
  • Own the upgrade and modernization of the corporate website to support end to end customer lifecycle management objective right from brand awareness to demand generation to reputation management.
  • Provide advice and ideas on the functionality of website components as well as other digital channels. You have a solid understanding of digital marketing activities, such as search engine optimization, paid media, social media, personalization, testing & marketing automation and how best to support these.
  • Manage a team of marketing technologists as product owners and administrators for assigned Marketing systems (Marketing Resource Management, Events, Social, Contact Lifecycle management, Digital, ABE & more) within the broader Martech portfolio.
  • Lead the creation of strategic roadmaps for the marketing technologies as well as partnering with IT to lead the implementation, integration with other technologies and eventual management of the final solution(s).
  • Build and scale training on best practices for assigned systems to ensure users understand (1) the purpose of each system, and (2) when and how to use them effectively.
  • Provide thought leadership around Marketing Technology landscape and innovative omni-channel capabilities.
  • Partner with Business and IT to lead evaluations for vendor selection, including translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Coordinate digital technology projects within and across departments and with outside; collaborate globally with peers on localization needs to help drive business in supported global regions.
  • Develop and implement new operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs through data analysis, reporting and system health monitoring.
  • Create reports detailing operational status, performance metrics, and identifying trends that may impact future performance; Review reports generated by systems to ensure that all data is accurate and up to date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing, evolving, and optimizing B2B Websites, Digital (Chat, Video, Testing, Conversion rate optimization, Personalization, SEO) and marketing technology implementation experience, i.e. Data Management Platform (DMP), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Content Management Systems (CMS), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Marketing Automation Platform (MAP)
  • 5+ year of experience implementing cross-functional operational processes
  • 5+ years of experience managing and growing teams
  • Proven knowledge of website structure & design & release strategies and workflow models, as well as deep domain knowledge across digital journeys and how they align to the digital channels
  • Ability to understand the Marketing vision and capability needs and translate business needs into technology requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience and present strategic vision and roadmap to executive-level stakeholders
  • Passionate knowledge of marketing concepts, methods, and techniques
  • Expert attention to detail, objective problem-solving attitude, and a hunger to learn
  • Professional attitude and service orientation; team player
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field
