Cloud Engineer (Azure & AWS)

Location: Islamabad, Pakistan

Responsibilities
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Azure cloud and virtualization end-to-end architecture and IaaS, as well as PaaS and SaaS solutions.
• Implement and support Azure IaaS, Azure Active Directory (AAD), VPN, Express Route, virtual networks, storage, backup, policies (network security groups, role-based access control, resource quota management, etc.) using industry and corporate best practices.
• Develop and maintain a library of deployable, tested, and documented Azure Resource Manager and AWS Cloud Formation templates.
• Enable DevOps development activities and complex development tasks that will involve working with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes and container management systems.
• Provide advanced system administration, operational support and problem resolution for a large complex cloud computing environment in Azure and AWS.
• Design, configure, implement and support an automated workflow for cloud and virtual environment provisioning through Azure Dev-Ops & AWS Developer Tools.
• Implement production workloads on release dates and support Env Related queries.
• Perform cloud computing and virtual environment build-outs, software installation, maintenance and support on both AWS and Azure.
• Write and maintain documentation of relevant operating procedures and processes.
• Design, develop, and build the cloud infrastructure architecture on AWS and Azure.
• Direct experience working with Active Directory/IAM and Cloud computing (in Azure & AWS)
• Experience with Azure Serverless function and AWS Lambda Functions is preferred.
 
Skills/Experience Required

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Good consultation, communication and analytical skills are a must, coupled with the ability to act as a team player as you will be regularly interacting between various teams distributed across the Globe
• Strong hands-on scripting/development experience in PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, etc. in a corporate environment
• Working knowledge of infrastructure design and components, such as servers, operating systems, networks, and storage
• Hands-on experience with: Azure DevOps and Pipelines, Azure Resource Manager, AWS EC2, AWS Lambdas, AWS CloudFormation Templates, GitHub, and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with architecting, implementing and maintaining highly available mission critical environments for 24x7 availability
• Experience working in an environment with a defined production change control process
• Relevant experience with configuration and implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Infrastructure as code (IaC), Azure, AWS, etc.
• Demonstrated history of working within deadlines and ability to work well under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline (Computer Science, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers / cloud systems
• Experience with Kanban Board systems such as GitHub Projects, MS Planner, etc.
• Experience implementing and defining best practices
• Experience debugging environment issues using available Azure tools is a plus.
• Azure Administrator Associate; Certified is a plus.
