As a Curriculum Developer on our Sales Enablement team, you will research, recommend, and produce a variety of complex, media-rich, and highly interactive courses to uplevel the knowledge and skills of our Go-to-Market teams. As a core member of our Sales Enablement team, this role will identify the right style and level of content for various audiences and have a track record of creating effective, innovative, and comprehensive hands-on self-study or expert-led learning experiences. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams within Teradata (including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and more).

You are a confident, articulate professional experienced in creating engaging and effective learning utilizing various methods and tools. You thrive on quickly learning new content and topics with minimal direction and are translating that knowledge into easy-to-understand and innovative learning solutions.  

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training materials in multiple modalities, including e-learning, blended learning content, videos, tutorials, etc
  • Design and develop quality learning curriculums and instructional approaches to meet training requirements identified during needs analyses to address business-specific requirements and constraints
  • Conduct interviews/learning needs assessments to identify knowledge and skills gaps, and relevant training requirements
  • Ensures integrity of needs analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans
  • Proactively looks for and shares the development and implementation of new learning models and content design templates
  • Develop rapid and agile techniques and processes to create content for a frequently changing environment
  • Continuously self-educate on the latest trends and practices in learning
  • Provides expert consultation on learning techniques, instructional design theory, and learning reinforcement best practices

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have 5-7 years of experience, preferably in curriculum development, instructional design, consulting, or other related disciplines. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with multiple types of learning solutions (including but not limited to e-learning courses, mobile learning, simulations, microlearning, ILT and vILT programs, and blended learning/flipped classroom). Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Proven self-starter with the ability to juggle priorities, balance assigned work, and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
  • Knowledge of instructional design practices and the study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness
  • Ability to align identified tasks and skills to learning objectives that are observable and measurable
  • Creative problem-solver who can develop thoughtful, innovative solutions to unforeseen challenges
  • Comfortable operating in new domains with high ambiguity and little direction
  • Robust communication skills (verbal, written), including the ability to present, facilitate, and influence people at different levels in the organization
  • Independent problem solver who will take initiative and execute work
  • Must be deadline-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Ability to work positively and collaboratively with team members at all levels

These skills are a plus:

  • Working knowledge of eLearning technologies, such as authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate) and design/development tools (e.g., SnagIt, Camtasia)
  • Experience supporting sales and consultants in a complex enterprise sales environment
