The ServiceNow Senior Developer will provide core system configuration, administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using good practice programming techniques to configure robust solutions utilizing the ServiceNow platform. 

  

You will focus on improving the performance, scalability and reliability of software and infrastructure that support both internal and external customers. Working in an agile team, you will be responsible for identifying and solving issues and developing applications and enhancements with the end goal of providing a better experience for our users. 

  

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has: 

 

  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a dedicated ServiceNow Developer; configuring core ServiceNow modules in CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, Portal, Performance Analytics, and APIs
  • Experience in ServiceNow Orlando version or later
  • Ability to work effectively with on-shore/off-shore team environment
  • Exceptional JavaScript skills
  • Exceptional debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding and experience with agile software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in web technologies like CSS/HTML, REST, AJAX, XML
  • Solid SQL experience and skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding of relational database principles – queries, security, data types
  • Knowledge of cloud architectural components and distributed computing
  • Experience with AWS or Azure deployments and support
  • High energy and is a self-starter with an aptitude and hunger for learning new technologies
  • Solid understanding of fundamental ITIL concepts

  

Responsibilities 

 

  • Involvement in all technical aspects of ServiceNow project and service delivery, including:
  • Application UI Configuration and Customizations
  • Workflow Configuration and Customizations using Flow Designer
  • Systems integrations and process automation
  • Reporting and performance analytics
  • Maintain the integrity of the ServiceNow tool across production and non-production environments
  • Lead technical analysis of additional module implementations within ServiceNow, including requirements gathering, process modeling and gap analysis and mitigation. 
  • Troubleshooting incidents, fulfilling support requests, and ensuring the overall health of ServiceNow platform
  • Develop clear and concise technical documentation. 
  • Application and module development in the areas of IT Service Management, IT Business Management, and IT Operations Management
  • Participate in daily standups for agile development
  • Adhering to development and testing best practices
  • Troubleshoot and Support ServiceNow based Applications and Systems
  • Business Analysis, Sprint Planning, User Story Definition
  • Drive continuous improvement of implementation methodology and service offerings
  • Provide value-based assessments and facilitate requirement workshops to help the stakeholders maximize business results from ServiceNow software
  • Articulate ServiceNow capabilities, operations, and process information to all levels of management effectively 
  • Prepare client facing and internal deliverables
  • Work collaboratively as a key member of project delivery team
  • Work collaboratively with both Technical and Non-technical Customers
  • Be Professional and Courteous in all engagements

  

Qualifications 

 

  • Degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology and proven experience in technical consulting roles
  • Proven expertise and/or experience (2+ years) as a key ServiceNow technical resource leading the development of solutions
  • IT Operations and IT Security experience is preferred
  • ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification is preferred
  • USA B1/B2 Visa (or the ability to obtain as a condition of employment)
  • Strong English communication skills (Verbal and Written)

 

  

Certifications & Knowledge 

 

  • The candidate must be willing and able to continue their education within the ServiceNow platform and beyond. It is expected that the candidate will be able to complete ServiceNow competency Certifications as well as Module Accreditations.

  

 

ServiceNow Accreditations and Certifications are a plus, specifically: 

 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator – Required
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • CIS – ITSM
  • ITOM Certifications
  • CIS – Discovery
  • CIS – Service Mapping
  • CIS – Event Management
  • ServiceNow Micro certifications
