About the Opportunity

The Services Operations Lead Is responsible for leading the Operations teams of Teradata's Global Consulting and Managed Services organization, partnering directly with the Customer Service Leader and regional leaders and will be responsible for the following execution categories:

  • Work with Chief Services Officer to drive business execution, operational processes, score card management, and resource management
  • Analytics & Insights - through systems, tools, processes and market/customer understanding, deliver proactive and actionable analytics & insights in support of planning and execution
  • Build and run a comprehensive governance model to drive execution
  • Participate as a key thought leader, influencing decision-making, identifying priorities, and managing (both directly and indirectly) staff in multiple locations
  • Prepare presentations in support of board, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the company.
  • Responsible for producing accurate and timely management reports, including an analysis of utilization & resource management
  • Take ownership of performance management for the business including identifying and reporting KPIs which are linked to company strategy and drive positive actions
  • Adopting a partner / challenger role in evaluating business plans
  • Participate as a member of various corporate Steering teams to represent requirements
  • Develop and grow a hire performing operations team
  • Execution excellence including process innovation and monitoring; metrics, KPIs and analytics; Consulting tools and automation; and communications support within and outside Consulting.  Includes dotted-line management of region E&E leads to ensure adherence to global design.
  • Develop and execute workforce strategies by practice, determining delivery profiles by service within the overall Consulting portfolio, sourcing and hiring strategies, and long-term headcount planning to deliver more effectively and efficiently at scale while improving Consulting workforce performance over time.
  • Identify and manage investments to develop, maintain and support methods, delivery tools, accelerators and practice capabilities
  • Resource Management including staffing and near- to mid-term headcount forecasting aligning with order and revenue forecasts
  • Risk management and mitigation processes, effectively managing quality and risk metrics pre- and post-sales to reduce the cost of quality over time
  • Ensure alignment with business partners supporting Consulting, monitor successful delivery against agreed-to SLA's
  • Executive sponsor of strategic projects to improve Consulting operations and capabilities

 

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent; MBA degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years related work experience in a senior Operations mgmt. role
  • Demonstrated success leading services operations, preferably in the technology industry
  • Experience in building successful organizations
  • Experience working in a SaaS business model environment preferred
  • Experience in driving a functional transformation
  • Track record of proven people leadership including attracting, retaining, developing and performance managing a group of people leaders
  • Advanced interpersonal, listening and communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills, and a track record of effectively communicating with and influencing at all levels
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven project and time management skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate personal and professional values consistent with Teradata’s values
  • Be highly collaborative, organized, detail oriented and a stickler for accuracy
  • Able to travel as needed
