**US Citizen Required**

As a Senior Cloud Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for: 

  • Managing Teradata’s as-a-Service offering on the public cloud (AWS)
  • Delivery responsibilities in the areas of Linux System Administration, Cloud Services Support, Cloud Network Support, System Instantiation, and optimizing the environments
  • Supporting the onsite teams with customer migrations from On-premises to Cloud
  • Operational support following Security Best Practices
  • Incident/Change/Problem Management 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and support 24x7 Vantage as-a-Service environments for FedRAMP customers
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and escalate incidents/problem cases as per Teradata incident management policies
  • Follow Cloud operations best practices regarding incident/problem/change management and data handling
  • Implement development/production environments for data warehousing cloud environment
  • Backup, Archive, and Recovery process monitoring/execution of cloud-based data warehouses

Skills & Attributes Required

 

  • US Citizen
  • 6-10 years of experience in a Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer role
  • CS Degree or another related field
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on AWS Cloud experience
  • Must be willing to provide rotational 24x7 on-call support with the team
  • Experience in at least one of the supported public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP); AWS preferred
  • Work experience in Linux Administration and Shell Scripting
  • Work experience on any RDBMS like Oracle/DB2/Netezza/Teradata/SQL Server, MySQL
  • Good understanding of ITIL

Desirable Skills & Certifications

 

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud environments
  • Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: Virtualization technologies, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Cloud delivery models
  • Prior experience implementing and supporting new/existing customers on as-a-service infrastructure
  • Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services for Compute, Storage, Network, and OS for at least one of the following cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Prior experience with AWS compute, storage, privatelink, AWS TGW, knowledge of various cloud network connectivity methods, and Enterprise VPN with on-premises data centers
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and security management tools
  • Strong understanding of data archive/restore policies
  • Cloud Certifications (AWS preferred)
  • ITIL, CISSP, or other relevant certifications are desirable
