Finance Generalist -Part time ( In country )

 

In this broad and varied job role you will be responsible for providing local support to financial transactions, working together with remote shared service centres and corporate finance colleagues, and a form of local controllership, to identify and take action on any business process issues which impact compliance and productivity.

 

This is not a pure accounting job at all - but much more a multipurpose function which supports the local management team in many different ways to ensure smooth and effective back office processes.

 

You will be involved in the typical financial processes related to general ledger, accounts payable, audit and tax.

 

 Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage the set-up of new suppliers and issue purchase orders to local suppliers and insure correct booking of related invoices and cost accruals.
  • Deal with external local vendors;
  • Insure smooth monthly salary payment, Social Security contribution, withholding tax and Life & Accident Insurance payment. Manage Treasury funding request and bank payments;
  • Manage payments for employee’s Pension Plans and other benefits.
  • Monthly payroll support in coordination with HR and the external provider
  • Act as point of contact for Local Tax Authorities, Statutory Auditors and Internal Auditors;
  • Insure customs duties and VAT payment;
  • Work with Corporate Treasury Department to manage relationships with local banks;
  • Manage bank guarantees
  • Maintains the local tax books;
  • Work with shared services Accounting and GL Team; Journal entries checking at month end
  • Prepare and pay monthly withholding tax;
  • Provide documents for customer compliance platforms
  • Filling National Institute of Statistics mandatory surveys

 

Education & Skill set

 

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Bachelor degree in business administration desired

Experience of payroll processes, social insurance regulations and procedures, and pension funds

Experience with large and / or complex organisations operating a group structure / shared services

Strong organisational skills and excellent all-round communication skills. Highly analytical and a natural problem solver, you should be used to dealing with middle management and international companies.

Ability to work independently under pressure with tight deadline  and drive for results

Analytical approach, able to initiate and manage change.

Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft excel and other Microsoft applications. Knowledge of Oracle ERP preferred.

Proficiency in English is a must .
