Location: CDMX


As a Financial Planning Analyst at Teradata you will be responsible for providing monthly and quarterly financial analysis, quarterly outlook, annual and long-range plan development, management reporting, and other general financial planning activities. In this role, you will support the Teradata Product & Technology organization which sets the strategic direction and process execution.

What You’ll Do

Collect and present financial data for use in business reviews, planning, reporting, and monthly outlook processes. You will prepare and analyze financial outlooks and operating results. While being directly responsible for the management of assets, liabilities, and expenses. In addition, your duties will include:

  • Maintaining line-level detail for budget
  • Summarize monthly results for business reviews
  • Monitor spending trends to develop a monthly outlook
  • Report out on findings to various groups within the organization
  • Reviewing budget items for approval and route through the purchasing process
  • Communicate with business owners on the process
  • Track spending requests against approved budget
  • Route approved spend through the purchasing process
  • Ad-hoc analysis
  • Support business owners to review strategic initiatives and justify spend
  • Deep dives of GL level spending
  • FinancialForce reporting

Your Background (Required)

  • Fluent English communication (written and verbal)
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or highly analytical field (e.g. Engineering, Math, or Computer Science)
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Finance or Finance-related specialties, cross-functional projects
  • 1-2 years accounting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Knowledge of Hyperion, Oracle, or other enterprise-level financial management tools
  • Demonstrated financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Experience with financial reporting
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
  • The ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, transforming organization is a must
  • Provide strategic and tactical support on annual budgeting and planning process
  • Cost budget vs. actuals
