External Description:

Purpose of Job:

The role of the incumbent will be to assist Teradata’s CSS Geo leader and Regional Practice leader with all facets of project management and to assist with the development of Teradata’s Project Management capability in CSS for region and GCA.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:

• Adhering to the CS&S APJ project management practice charter and improve delivery efficiencies across region.
• Delivery and management of Geo and cross regional projects and determine staffing requirements
• Managing staff on Geo and cross regional projects and prepare work schedules
• Assist with management of project budget allocation for assigned projects, including preparation of financial status reports
• Monitor progress of projects to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met
• Where applicable respond to client services executive and service experience manager together with the account executive
• Provides coaching, mentoring and professional development to company’s staff members
• Coaching and motivating team members to accomplish project goals to meet established objectives
• Adhering to appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria
• Ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders
• Contribute to the development and improvement of Teradata’s processes and quality of services
• Contribute to the regional project management practice charter

Requirements:

Education: Tertiary education in computer science or equivalent

Certification: PMP (if available)

Experience: IT Project Management Experience
Skills: • Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Five years hands-on global project management experience with an external client facing project
• Experienced in global people and client management
• Experienced in analytics and information management project implementation involving Teradata
• Experienced in global or local managing end to end IT Infrastructure projects
• Ability to multi-task and have flexibility to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
• Understanding of project lifecycle and methodology
• Clearly and effectively convey ideas, information and/or instructions to others in both written and verbal form
• Effective time-management
